The Sunshine State Young Readers Award Books Announced!

The Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) Program is a statewide reading motivational program for students in grades 3 through 8. The purpose of the SSYRA Program is to encourage students to read independently for pleasure and to read books that are on, above, and below their reading level in order to improve their reading fluency. Sunshine State books are selected for their wide appeal, literary value, varied genres, curriculum connections, and/or multicultural representation.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS A KEY COMPONENT OF THIS LEAGUE AND WILL BE EXPECTED OF ALL PLAYERS, COACHES, PARENTS, AND SPECTATORS AT ALL TIMES. WE ALWAYS NEED COACHES, SO PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COACH ANY OF OUR TEAMS.

Mr. Vallas honored with the Golden Apple Award

Asa Anderson submitted an essay nominating Mr. Vallas for the award. This weekly award is given by Bill Cramer Chevrolet Cadillac GMC and News Channel 7 (WJHG TV) to recognize outstanding teachers in NW Florida. This is Mr. Vallas' second Golden Apple. Mr. Vallas is a Bay County native and taught at Bay High School for 28 years before coming to Holy Nativity. We are sure glad he did!
