FINANCIAL AID

Holy Nativity Episcopal School is committed to attracting a diverse and talented student body. The mission of our financial aid program is to make attendance possible for deserving students whose families do not have the financial resources to fully meet the cost of a Holy Nativity education.

To help families manage expenses, we offer a payment plan, but for some families payment plans will not be sufficient to enable their child to attend HNES. The financial aid process is independent of the admission process. The application for financial aid has no bearing on admission to Holy Nativity Episcopal School.

The Financial Aid Committee maintains strict confidentiality over financial aid files. Faculty and students are never informed of financial aid applications or decisions. The school trusts that the family will keep the same discretion regarding awards and decisions.

The Financial Aid Committee is composed of the Head of School and the Holy Nativity Board Member who serves as Chairperson of the Finance Committee. In accordance with the practice found at the majority of FCIS independent schools, HNES considers family contributions based upon the evaluation completed by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS). In determining eligibility for financial aid, this service considers gross taxable income, liabilities, assets, family size, and the number of children in tuition-charging schools. Policies and procedures require submission of a family’s income tax forms, including all schedules, W-2 forms, possibly some additional tax forms, and the parents’ financial statement. Additional information can be provided by request to the Head of School. Once notified, complete instructions will be provided with which to apply for assistance. Each year, more students apply for financial aid than funds that are available. Please apply as early as possible.
